Celebrating my 2022 birthday in Los Angeles felt like stepping into the backdrop of a movie set—sunshine, palm trees, and endless energy everywhere I turned. There’s something about LA that makes you feel like anything is possible, and I was determined to soak it all in.
And one of my favorite moments? Visiting the Marathon Dispensary—a powerful and personal stop that meant more than just shopping. Standing in Nipsey Hussle’s legacy space on my birthday felt spiritual. It was motivation in real-time. Later that day, I also did a full Hollywood Tour, checking out all the iconic film spots, celebrity homes, and hidden gems across the city. Tourist move? Maybe. But I loved every second of it.

The Griddle Café – I kicked off my birthday morning here with pancakes the size of a pizza. It’s touristy, but worth it. Fluffy stacks loaded with toppings made it feel like dessert for breakfast.
Fixins Soul Kitchen in Downtown LA – This was comfort food at its finest. The fried chicken and mac 'n' cheese hit home. It felt like Sunday dinner, just with city views and celebrity sightings.
Catch LA – Perfect for a dressy night out. Great seafood, rooftop vibes, and picture-perfect décor. I treated myself here because why not?
🌴 Top Things to Do
Hollywood Sign Hike – I didn’t just want to see the sign—I had to hike up behind it. The view of the city was worth every step. I made a wish at the top, because birthdays and dreams just go together.
Hollywood Tour Experience – This was a bucket-list moment. From cruising past iconic filming spots to seeing stars’ homes in Beverly Hills, the tour gave me a behind-the-scenes peek at a city I’d only seen on screen.
Marathon Dispensary – Visiting this spot was more than a stop—it was a tribute. I walked through the store with so much respect for Nipsey Hussle’s vision, his impact, and how much his legacy continues to inspire.
Rodeo Drive Window Shopping – I wasn’t trying to drop thousands, but it felt good just to walk through the luxury. I had my birthday fit on and took some of my best pictures here.
Santa Monica Pier & Beach – The Ferris wheel ride with ocean views gave me a quiet moment to just breathe. Ice cream in one hand, shoes off in the sand—it was the perfect mix of chill and fun.

The Highlight Room – Rooftop, poolside, DJs, and a view that screams “I made it.” I danced with strangers, toasted with friends, and felt like the main character all night.
EP & LP Rooftop – Another great lounge-style spot for birthday vibes. Good drinks, great music, and that classic LA atmosphere.
The Comedy Store – For something different, I caught a stand-up show here and laughed so hard it felt like a workout. A nice balance after the party scene.
Looking back, LA gave me the perfect birthday blend: glam, food, sun, and just enough sparkle to make me feel brand new. From soaking in legacy at Marathon to soaking up views over Santa Monica, it wasn’t just a trip—it was a full vibe.
